Assistant Procurement Manager

Our client, in consumer goods industry is seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate is resourceful, results-driven professional who takes ownership, thrives in fast-paced environments, maintains high standards, and consistently delivers successful outcomes with a strong sense of urgency.

Job Title: Assistant Procurement Manager

Location: Jonesboro, AR (onsite)

Contract: 6 Months (extension possible)

Pay Range: $28 - $31 hourly

What’s the Job?

• Manage procurement activities for raw materials and packaging, including purchase order creation, pricing verification, and delivery coordination.
• Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, planning, operations, and sourcing teams to ensure material availability and production continuity.
• Support supplier onboarding, vendor setup, documentation management, and cross-functional coordination for new supplier integration.
• Assist with supplier negotiations involving pricing, payment terms, lead times, and supply continuity strategies.
• Track sourcing milestones, maintain procurement data and records, and support ongoing supplier management and procurement operations.
  
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
• 3 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience, including supplier management and purchase order execution.
• Proven ability to negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, lead times, and supply agreements.
• Experience working within ERP systems (SAP, ICAT, Velocity, or similar) and managing procurement data and processes.
• Strong cross-functional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills; consumer products industry experience preferred.
