Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring adherence to infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Assist dentists chairside during procedures.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper safety protocols and patient comfort.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and medical imaging is essential.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of medical documentation.
- Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is required for safe practice.
- Experience with advanced dental technology like 3D scanners or digital radiography enhances your ability to support modern dental procedures.
- Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is a plus to ensure preparedness for emergency situations involving adult patients.
