Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is looking for a Healthcare Program Administrator – Hospital Compliance* to lead and oversee the hospital’s Compliance Program and ensure adherence to federal, state, and accreditation standards, including those set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and The Joint Commission. This role serves as a subject matter expert responsible for implementing compliance policies, coordinating training, supporting regulatory readiness and survey activities, investigating potential violations, and managing compliance reporting and corrective actions to promote a culture of integrity and sustained compliance across the organization.

Other duties will also include:
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the hospital’s Compliance Program and Compliance Office.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards, including those established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission, and the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on hospital compliance, including policy development, billing, fraud/abuse, conflicts of interest, and regulatory requirements such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Oversee compliance meetings, committee coordination, records management, reporting, and presentations.
  • Support regulatory readiness, accreditation surveys, and corrective action planning to ensure sustained compliance.
  • Compile, analyze, and maintain compliance data, metrics, and reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with departments and external agencies to implement and monitor the Compliance Program.
  • Develop and deliver compliance education and training for staff and providers.
  • Investigate potential compliance violations and coordinate appropriate responses.
  • Prepare reports and respond to regulatory inquiries, including unusual occurrence reporting and corrective actions.
  • Lead and support hospital survey activities and ongoing compliance initiatives.
  • Manage the Compliance Department budget and oversee fiscal and resource allocation activities.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Candidates must possess ALL of the following:

EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Behavioral/Social Science, Healthcare, Nursing, or a closely related field.

-AND-

EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of professional experience that includes policy development, training/education, quality improvement/corrective actions, data analysis, and monitoring/oversight.
The ideal candidate will possess a compliance certification.
