You’ll help keep our customers’ material handling equipment running safely and reliably. Your work will solve real problems, protect uptime, and build the kind of trust Briggs is known for.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, service, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment, including engines, motors, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical, and lifting systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and failure analysis to keep equipment operating to manufacturer specifications.
- Follow all safety practices, including proper blocking, chocking, chaining, and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company standards.
- Complete repair paperwork, maintain needed parts and supplies, keep work areas clean, and continue required technical training and certifications.
- High school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of forklift repair or related industry experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
- Excellent customer service, a Safety-First mindset, and knowledge of equipment and branch operations.
- Mechanical or trade school training and Hyster-Yale certifications preferred; certification on 50% of the company product line preferred.
