About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading organization within the B2B events and conferences industry, delivering highly influential executive-level experiences that connect senior decision-makers with innovative technology solution providers.
They are seeking a Business Development Director to drive sponsorship and partnership revenue across a portfolio of market-leading events.
This is a pure new-business role focused on identifying, prospecting, and closing sponsorship partnerships with technology companies serving enterprise and mid-market customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed individual revenue targets.
- Independently identify, prospect, and close new sponsorship partnerships.
- Develop relationships with senior executives and decision-makers across technology organizations.
- Create tailored partnership opportunities aligned with client business objectives.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM reporting.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to maximize commercial opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5 years of consultative sales experience.
- Proven experience selling sponsorships, partnerships, media solutions, or event-related offerings.
- Strong track record of generating net-new business and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience engaging and selling to enterprise technology companies, including SaaS, cloud, AI, data, cybersecurity, infrastructure, ecommerce technology, martech, adtech, fintech, or digital transformation providers.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close high-value commercial agreements.
- Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning skills.
- Experience building relationships with VP, SVP, C-level, and founder-level stakeholders.
- Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and commercially driven.
