Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution. This position ensures all financial transactions are accurate, compliant, and completed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and enter high-volume invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and compliance
- Maintain and update vendor files and accounting system records
- Coordinate and track invoice approvals and payment timelines
- Prepare and batch payments in accordance with company procedures
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries, resolving discrepancies promptly
- Audit invoices for accuracy and tax compliance
- Support general accounting processes and reporting as needed
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2 years of Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Hospitality Finance experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to handle high-volume workload with accuracy and control
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, interacting professionally with hourly associates, managers, directors, the Managing Director, and corporate partners.
