Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care

SAJE Strategic Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join a specialized wound care team in Sonora, CA. In this role, you will work in collaboration with facility wound nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based care for patients with acute and chronic wounds.

Compensation and Schedule

This position offers a salary range of $40,000 to $160,000 per year, which includes a base salary plus RVU incentives for high earning potential. Full-time or part-time options are available. The schedule is a day shift from Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required.

Key Responsibilities

You will conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams focused on wound etiology to develop individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing specialized procedures such as conservative sharp debridement and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). You will also monitor healing trajectories through clinical photography and documentation while educating patients and families on hygiene and pressure offloading. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR) are also required.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program and a current, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license. An active NPI number and DEA registration are required. While National Board Certification is required, a Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, or CWS) is preferred but not required to start. Prior experience in wound care, dermatology, or surgical nursing is strongly preferred.
