Position Summary
The Sr. Financial Analyst will support monthly close activities, financial reporting, and in-depth cost analysis while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is instrumental in enhancing reporting accuracy, optimizing processes, and supporting scalable growth across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly cost reports, identifying key margin variances and trends
- Perform detailed cost analysis to support new and existing product lines
- Partner with Operations, Procurement, and Engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Conduct variance analysis across product lifecycle stages and multiple manufacturing sites
- Maintain and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for accuracy
- Support labor and overhead rate development and monitor performance against budgets
- Build and maintain cost accounting models for accurate product costing
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis
- Support ERP system processes and provide expertise (Oracle or similar)
- Prepare audit schedules and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Mentor junior team members and support cross-functional collaboration
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 7 years of finance/accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong plant/operational accounting experience in a multi-site organization
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and financial planning tools (Hyperion, OneStream, TM1, or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or defense industries
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior analysts
