We're hiring a Senior Legal Expert in Contracting & AI to translate deep commercial contracting expertise into AI-powered workflows that thousands of lawyers will use in their daily practice.
Your role as Senior Legal Expert
In this role, you will shape how AI transforms commercial contracting. You work within Saga Lab to develop expert-level contracting content, use cases and workflows for our Legal AI platform. You translate complex contracting practice into AI-ready scenarios that help lawyers review faster, negotiate smarter, and manage risk better. You bring ideas to life and make sophisticated legal expertise accessible at scale. You'll move between three worlds: developing contracting content in Saga Lab, co-designing platform functionality with engineers, and creating training materials with Saga Amplify. One moment you're designing an AI-assisted playbook for SaaS agreements, the next you're running a workshop teaching law firm partners how to use it. You understand contracts deeply, you're curious about technology, and you know how to help others change the way they work.
What you bring to our team
You're a senior contracting expert who sees the potential of AI to transform legal practice. You can break down complex contract types into structured workflows, decision trees and review frameworks. You care about quality, you communicate clearly, and you're excited to work at the intersection of law, technology and learning.
Experience in commercial contracting, with hands-on negotiation and drafting across multiple contract types and complexity levels
A track record of building structured approaches to contracting work: playbooks, templates, clause libraries, review guidelines, or standard positions
Advanced AI fluency: you use AI tools to prototype workflows, test approaches, and solve legal problems. You don't need to be a developer, but you're eager to experiment with new tools and work alongside technical teams
The ability to translate legal expertise into clear frameworks that others can follow and that AI can support
Experience training or enabling other lawyers, or strong interest in doing so
Excellent communication skills: you can explain complex legal concepts to both lawyers and non-lawyers
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
