About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Facilities Engineer to support our client's facilities capital projects. This role involves collaborating with the project team throughout the project lifecycle, including investigation, design, construction, commissioning, and document turnover. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of laboratory HVAC, electrical power distribution, plumbing systems, and familiarity with local building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- MEP Engineering Evaluation: Assess and develop MEP criteria; evaluate MEP design documents.
- Design Review: Review MEP design criteria and specifications; recommend necessary changes.
- Construction Oversight: Track design and construction changes; review RFIs and bulletins.
- Commissioning: Manage the commissioning process; resolve MEP deficiencies.
- Documentation: Collect required project documents; review for accuracy and discrepancies; facilitate master drawing updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of facilities MEP engineering experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of laboratory HVAC, electrical power distribution, plumbing, and control logic.
- Familiarity with local building and energy codes.
- Experience with Metasys (building automation system) and Analytika (building monitoring tool).
- Ability to develop and execute cohesive plans with objective progress reporting.
- Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Receptive to change and adaptable to evolving project needs
