What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at S&S Employment Partners?
Our client seeks a Senior Accountant to work in their office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $90,000/year based on your experience. You will work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. This position is 100% in office.
To qualify for the Senior Accountant position, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. In addition, we require:
- BA in Accounting
- 2 years of experience in Accounting
- General Ledger experience
- Reporting
- Strong GAAP knowledge and experience
- AP and AR experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- QuickBooks experience a plus
Some of your responsibilities as a Senior Accountant includes preparing general ledger entries. In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Reporting
- Preparing general ledger entries
- Preparing post journal entries for month end close
- Assisting with maintenance of fixed assets
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Assisting with payroll processing
- Filing payroll tax return
- Special projects
- Other duties as assigned
