Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed
- Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals
- Conduct carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and maintenance painting tasks to uphold facility aesthetics and safety standards.
- Maintain facilities equipment
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants, delivering excellent customer service while resolving issues efficiently.
- Support the upkeep of building interior spaces through carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and general facilities maintenance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Carpenter is preferred
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
- Ability to read and take action on blueprints
- Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
- Knowledge of building regulations and codes
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
Salary : $22 - $25
