Responsibilities:
- Execute daily mise en place, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients to chef specifications
- Prepare sauces, marinades, stocks, and other foundational components ahead of service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards
- Rotate and label food items properly, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste
- Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume service periods as needed
- Receive and inspect food deliveries, storing items according to proper food handling procedures
- Follow recipes and plating guides consistently to uphold quality standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
