Job Title: GBM – Operations – Securities Settlements Analyst

Location: Salt Lake City (SLC)

Pay Rate: $23/hour

Position Overview

The Securities Settlements team within Global Banking & Markets is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support settlement activities across the Americas. In this role, you will utilize your quantitative, problem-solving, and customer service skills to support various business units and clients while helping drive process improvements that mitigate risk and enhance the client experience.

For every trade executed, new product launched, market entered, or transaction completed, Operations develops and maintains the processes and controls that keep business moving efficiently.

Securities Settlements Team

The Securities Settlements team is responsible for processing and controlling the settlement of all asset types, including:

• Client trades
• Company distributions
• Electronic and physical asset transfers
• Portfolio restructuring activities

Successful team members demonstrate creativity, adaptability, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. Through effective relationship management and precise execution, the team delivers exceptional service and solutions to clients and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Lifecycle Management

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Legal, Compliance, and external counterparties to ensure successful transaction completion.

Settlement & Transfer Processing

• Partner with specialized teams to review and process asset transfers from initiation through settlement.
• Ensure seamless and accurate execution for clients.

Risk Management & Controls

• Ensure all transaction details are accurately captured and recorded.
• Identify control gaps and operational risks within transfer processes.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements to strengthen controls and reduce risk exposure.

Process Improvement

• Continuously evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
• Drive innovative solutions that improve operational effectiveness and client outcomes.

Operational Excellence

• Mitigate risk through precise execution and attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards of service quality, professionalism, and client support.
