Member Service Advocate

Our client, a leading healthcare technology organization, is seeking motivated and customer-focused Member Advocate Contractors to join their Customer Experience team in Lehi, UT.

Pay Rate: $18–$19.80/hour

Training: 1.5 weeks of training provided

Role Overview:

As a Member Advocate Contractor, you will serve as the first point of contact for members seeking assistance with their healthcare benefits. You will handle high-volume Tier 1 inquiries, answer account-related questions, and help members understand and navigate their healthcare plans, benefits, and payment options.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to member inquiries via phone and email regarding healthcare benefits, account questions, and insurance plans.
• Help members understand their health benefits, provider networks, and healthcare payment options.
• Provide accurate, empathetic, and timely support while delivering an exceptional member experience.
• Handle high volumes of inquiries while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
• Learn healthcare insurance processes, benefits, and internal software systems during training.
• Adapt to changing processes and member needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team leads and colleagues to ensure consistent service quality.
• Contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Empathy and a genuine interest in helping people navigate healthcare-related questions.
• Ability to manage high-volume inquiries and multitask effectively.
• Willingness to learn new software, healthcare benefits, and internal processes.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in challenging situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• At least 1 year of customer-facing or customer service experience.
• Previous healthcare or health insurance experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
