Pay Range: $85,000 – $125,000 / year Benefits

Job Summary

A leading engineering organization is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and improvement of mechanical systems and components across diverse projects. This role involves developing innovative solutions, supporting manufacturing processes, and ensuring designs meet industry standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development
• Design and refine mechanical components and systems using CAD tools
• Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate performance and functionality
• Ensure designs meet technical and customer specifications
• Analysis & Problem-Solving
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement
• Analyze engineering challenges and implement effective solutions
• Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders
• Manage project timelines and deliverables
• Manufacturing Support
• Support transition of designs into production
• Work with manufacturing teams to resolve production issues
• Contribute to process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction
• Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation (drawings, specifications, processes)
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality systems
• Follow internal quality management system requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments (defense or highly regulated industries is a plus)
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes
• Exposure to project management or team leadership
• Experience supporting production and process optimization
