The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the Material Science industry and is having the QUA Technician in Brookings, SD
Position Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring compliance with quality procedures, product requirements, and the Quality Management System (QMS). This role verifies production testing activities, investigates quality deficiencies, documents nonconformances, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality standards.
Additional Details:
Pay range: $30- $35/hour on W2 as per your experience
Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify completion of in-process and start-up testing requirements for each production order.
- Review production records to ensure compliance with quality procedures and product specifications.
- Investigate quality deficiencies and communicate findings to affected personnel.
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
- Generate and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for products or processes that do not meet testing or quality requirements.
- Partner with Quality Engineering to ensure appropriate material disposition and quality containment activities.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Utilize electronic systems and quality databases to record, track, and report quality-related information.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training activities as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures, product specifications, packaging standards, and quality testing requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with electronic quality systems.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
