Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm with more than 120 attorneys providing sophisticated legal services across a wide range of practice areas. Known for its collaborative culture and client-focused approach, the firm is seeking an experienced Matrimonial Paralegal to join its growing Matrimonial Department in White Plains.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients while managing complex family law matters in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of matrimonial and family law matters
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, financial disclosure documents, and other legal filings
- Gather, organize, review, and summarize financial records and case-related documentation
- Maintain electronic and physical client files and ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Manage attorney calendars, court appearances, deadlines, meetings, and case workflow
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case updates, document requests, billing matters, and general case support
- Conduct client intakes and assist with opening new matters
- Prepare engagement letters and monitor retainer activity
- Enter attorney time, assist with billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable tracking
- Coordinate with attorneys and internal departments to ensure deadlines are met
- Provide administrative and litigation support as needed
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of paralegal or legal support experience
- Experience in matrimonial or family law strongly preferred
- Experience preparing legal documents and organizing financial records
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with legal billing, document management, or case management systems is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
- Reliable, proactive, and collaborative team player
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000–$75,000, based on experience
