Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI), productization, and supplier engineering activities for advanced power delivery systems used in semiconductor equipment. This role serves as a key technical liaison between R&D, manufacturing, quality, program management, and external suppliers to ensure successful product development, qualification, and deployment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-voltage power supplies, RF/DC power systems, product engineering, reliability, supplier quality, and semiconductor equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and productization activities for advanced power delivery systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and supplier teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive technical investigations and resolve product, manufacturing, and quality issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Partner with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product reliability.
- Support qualification, validation, and deployment of high-power electronic systems and assemblies.
- Review and improve supplier manufacturing processes, test methods, and quality documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide engineering input to improve manufacturability, reliability, and product performance.
- Support development and qualification of automated manufacturing and test equipment.
- Evaluate product reliability using industry-standard engineering methodologies and accelerated testing techniques.
- Lead supplier audits, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage engineering projects and coordinate activities across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel to supplier and manufacturing locations as required (up to 20%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- 8 years of experience in product engineering, semiconductor equipment, or power electronics.
- Hands-on experience with:
- DC power supplies
- High-power analog and RF power systems
- Printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) design and manufacturing
- Analog and digital circuit design
- Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment or related high-technology products.
- Strong understanding of product qualification, engineering change processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Experience with supplier quality, manufacturing process improvement, and root cause corrective action (RCCA).
- Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts, including accelerated life testing, reliability modeling, and failure analysis.
- Experience with test fixture development, calibration, validation, and manufacturing test processes.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gauge R&R, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing quality systems.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with semiconductor capital equipment.
- Knowledge of plasma systems, RF power delivery, or advanced power electronics.
- Experience with supplier audits and supplier quality management.
- Project or program management experience supporting new product development.
