Title: CHB Documentation Coordinator
Schedule: Hybrid
Location: Valley Stream, NY
Pay range: $20 - $22 hourly
Contract to potential hire based on the business needs and requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and upload all required documentation for Customs House Brokerage (CHB) entries, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices
- Ensure all documentation complies with 19 CFR 142.6 invoice requirements, including accurate product descriptions, quantities, values, and manufacturer details
- Coordinate with internal CHB teams, clients, and external partners (e.g., freight forwarders) to obtain complete and accurate documentation for customs clearance
- Maintain and manage document management systems, ensuring proper organization, version control, and secure storage of all records
- Provide guidance to clients on documentation requirements to facilitate timely and compliant customs entry processing
Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, customs brokerage, or international trade strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in computer systems and data entry with a high degree of accuracy
