🚀 Job Title: Data Center Technician – IT Infrastructure Support

📍 Location: Hermiston (Local candidates only)

💲 Pay Rate: $23–25/hour

📄 Contract: 6 Months Contract | Possible Extension & Conversion

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to support hardware and infrastructure operations within a fast-paced data center environment. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, IT Support, Hardware Repair, or Technical Support, looking to grow their career in infrastructure and server support.

This role involves troubleshooting hardware issues, replacing server components, supporting cabling and connectivity, and working closely with technical teams to maintain daily operations inside the data center. Candidates should be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment and adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure-related issues
• Perform server and component replacements
• Support rack & stack and cabling activities
• Assist with connectivity and basic networking troubleshooting
• Work with Linux/basic system administration tasks
• Handle ticket resolution and escalation processes
• Follow detailed operational procedures and documentation
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to support data center operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience in IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, Hardware Repair, or Technical Support preferred
• Basic understanding of hardware troubleshooting and networking
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and technical support environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
• Must be open to working flexible schedules, including overnight shifts

Schedule

🕒 Candidates must be flexible to work either Sun–Wed or Wed–Sat schedules, including day and overnight shifts between 6:00AM and 6:00AM, depending on business needs and team assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A , Network , or similar certifications
• Experience with servers, Linux, or data center operations
• Military IT or technical experience is a plus
