Background Screening Representative β Contract Opportunity
π Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)
π Duration: Contract Opportunity
π² Pay: $30-34/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Background Screening Representative to support the Workforce Screening team by managing pre-employment background screening for employees and contingent workers. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in background screening, HR operations, case management, or compliance who thrive in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
You'll work closely with candidates, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure background checks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Work Schedule:
β’ Training: First month requires 4 days per week in the office
β’ After Training: Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office
β’ Candidates should be comfortable with the possibility of transitioning to a 4-day in-office schedule in the future.
Ideal Candidate:
β 2 years of experience in background screening, HR, case management, or a related operational role
β Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
β Excellent written and verbal communication skills
β Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion
β Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems
β Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
Additional Consideration for Candidates With:
β’ Bachelor's degree
β’ Experience supporting HR onboarding or background screening programs
β’ Experience with Workday, Salesforce, or similar systems
β’ Corporate Security, compliance, fraud investigation, or law enforcement experience
β’ Knowledge of employment verification, adverse findings, and regulatory compliance
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Manage background screening cases to ensure completion before employee start dates
β’ Communicate with candidates regarding employment, education, and other verification requirements
β’ Review background screening results and investigate discrepancies identified by screening vendors
β’ Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and coordinate required documentation
β’ Escalate adverse findings to appropriate internal stakeholders, including HR, Compliance, and Employment Law
β’ Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure timely case resolution
β’ Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
