IFRS Accounting Project Analyst – Contract Opportunity

📍 Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid – 3 Days On-Site)

📅 Duration: Contract Opportunity

💲 Pay: $35-$37/hour

Are you an accounting professional with investment banking or product control experience looking to contribute to a high-impact finance transformation initiative? We are seeking an IFRS Accounting Project Analyst to support the implementation and automation of IFRS lending accounting processes while partnering with Accounting, Product Control, and Technology teams.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy combining accounting expertise with project management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal Candidate:

✔ 2–5 years of experience in Product Control, Loans Accounting, or Investment Banking Accounting

✔ Experience supporting lending products and accounting operations

✔ Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS exposure is a plus)

✔ Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

✔ Strong project coordination and stakeholder management abilities

✔ Highly organized with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Additional Consideration for Candidates With:

• Product Controller experience supporting loan products

• Investment Banking accounting experience

• IFRS reporting or accounting conversion experience

• Business analysis or requirements gathering experience

• Experience working with technology teams on finance system implementations

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document accounting and business requirements from key stakeholders

• Analyze IFRS lending accounting requirements and compare them with existing US GAAP processes

• Support the development of accounting rules, business requirements, and functional specifications for automation initiatives

• Partner with Technology teams to support system design, implementation, testing, and validation

• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and business approvals

• Prepare project updates, presentations, and materials for senior leadership

• Document accounting decisions, risk assessments, and project milestones

• Contribute to process improvements that enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
