Russell Tobin is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Associate Growth Merchant Lead (Sales Development Representative) to support market expansion initiatives. This role focuses on growing the companyโs presence in emerging and underserved markets by building strong partnerships with local and regional restaurant owners. The ideal candidate is a driven sales professional who excels in a field-based environment, has a proven ability to prospect and close new business opportunities, and brings strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and business development skills to drive long-term growth.

๐ฒ Pay Rate: 28.00$-- $29.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Travel throughout assigned emerging markets to identify and develop new restaurant partnerships
- Prospect, engage, and close new business opportunities with local and regional restaurant owners
- Conduct face-to-face sales meetings and presentations with potential merchant partners
- Present the value of partnering and communicate business benefits effectively
- Negotiate revenue-sharing agreements and partnership terms
- Manage a fast-paced sales cycle with quick turnaround times
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to execute territory growth strategies
- Utilize sales tools, resources, and market insights to identify opportunities and drive results
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and newly onboarded merchants
- Meet and exceed sales targets, partnership goals, and performance objectives
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and merchant interactions
- Travel extensively throughout assigned territories, including occasional overnight stays
Qualifications
- 2.5 years of sales experience in a closing sales role or related field
- Proven experience prospecting, developing relationships, and closing new business opportunities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to present solutions and demonstrate value to prospective customers
- Experience managing a high-volume, transactional sales cycle
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing market needs
- Results-driven mindset with strong motivation to achieve sales goals
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned territories
- Professional presence when interacting with business owners and external partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to SMBs (Small and Medium Businesses)
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, food & beverage, or merchant services sales experience
- Experience with field sales, territory management, or outside sales
- Ability to build strong local business relationships and understand market needs
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and self-motivated approach
- Strong ability to identify opportunities and drive market expansion
