Creative Interactive Developer I - Part-time

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Creative Interactive Developer I to work for one of our wel-recognized entertainment/streaming providers.  Prior experience working within the industry is idea!

Hours per week: 10 hours per week - flexible days 
Contract: through the end of 2026 
Location: Kansas City, MO 
Pay Rate: $40 - $48.77  per hour on W2 

Job Description 

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a design/web-related discipline desired. 
• Previous experience in Creative, Redesign, Production Art, Technical Art, Process Art or equivalent transferable skills.  
• Advanced knowledge and experience of Flash/Flex/PHP, designing interfaces, action scripting, and html/web programming skills.  
• 5  years experience, or equivalent, using programming languages (Action script, PHP, Java script), to ensure a successful user experience to convey the voice of our brand, bridging traditional gaps between creative intent and technical/web environment limitations.  
• The solutions created by the incumbent demonstrate a sensitivity for design, creativity and imagination in working with all assets to ultimately enhance and improve the experience of our consumers who visit our web site and explore our online product offerings - offerings that are intended to emotionally connect the world by making a genuine difference in every life, every day. 
• They will be designing interfaces and capable of programming a variety of sophisticated applications (existing and new) collaborating with a cross-functional team of content producers, designers, editors and production designers to swiftly develop and effectively animate presentations, creative websites, games, user interfaces for web, video and images, Flash applications for streaming video and games using solutions and services through online channels.  
• The incumbent has expertise of Actionscript, xhtml-css-standards methodology, xml, Actionscript, Javascript, php-mySQL, asp (a plus if known, not essential), java (a plus if known, not essential), advanced experience in leading/as an architect in the development of applications in Flash frameworks and applications integrated in PHP or similar web applications.  
• The incumbent has knowledge of Action Script, Flex and Python, experience in developing, experience in popular Flash frameworks, experience in developing Flash applications integrated in PHP or similar web applications, understanding of JavaScript and ability to use in conjunction with Flash.  
• The incumbent has a basic background in web programming/good understanding of object oriented programming (intermediate and advance for higher levels) with basic to strong design skills and works in a creative team-based project setting.  
• They have a well-rounded skill set (with programming fundamentals and capabilities to work with existing or creating/architecting new applications) and can contribute in the areas of motion graphic production and Flash action scripting and javascripting as well as editing code to ensure optimal performance for consumer experiences.  
• The solutions may integrate sourced design/editorial elements such as editorial, illustration, photography, processes, writing, typography, and hand lettering, in ways that meet consumer needs and high standards
