Job Title: Accounting Specialist (Contract)

Location: Oshkosh, WI

Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week (flexible scheduling)

Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension

Pay Rate:n$20–$23 per hour (W2)

Shift Timing: First Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM CST

Interview Process:

• 1–2 rounds via Microsoft Teams
• Video interview with hiring manager and team member(s)

Role Overview

We are hiring an Accounting Specialist to support high-volume financial operations in a structured, fast-paced environment. This role primarily focuses on account reconciliation, transaction processing, and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations, ensuring financial records are accurate and balanced
• Support reconciliation of commercial loan accounts
• Process financial transactions including:
• Invoices
• Journal entries
• Expense-related items
• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and execute corrections
• Perform General Ledger (GL) uploads and maintain data integrity
• Clear daily transaction queues while meeting SLA and productivity targets
• Prepare and review routine financial reports
• Respond to internal inquiries and support issue resolution
• Validate and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in:
• Accounting
• Finance operations
• Banking or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
• Account reconciliation
• General Ledger processes
• Banking or financial services environment
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
• Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced operations
