Job Title: Accounting Specialist (Contract)
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week (flexible scheduling)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension
Pay Rate:n$20–$23 per hour (W2)
Shift Timing: First Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM CST

Role Overview
We are hiring an Accounting Specialist to support high-volume financial operations in a structured, fast-paced environment. This role primarily focuses on account reconciliation, transaction processing, and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations, ensuring financial records are accurate and balanced
- Support reconciliation of commercial loan accounts
- Process financial transactions including:
- Invoices
- Journal entries
- Expense-related items
- Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and execute corrections
- Perform General Ledger (GL) uploads and maintain data integrity
- Clear daily transaction queues while meeting SLA and productivity targets
- Prepare and review routine financial reports
- Respond to internal inquiries and support issue resolution
- Validate and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in:
- Accounting
- Finance operations
- Banking or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Account reconciliation
- General Ledger processes
- Banking or financial services environment
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced operations
