Job Title: CMBS Securitization Analyst/Commercial Real Estate Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical, motivated, and detail-oriented CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) Securitisation Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing and managing the securitisation process of commercial real estate loans into CMBS bonds. This position requires an understanding of commercial real estate finance and securitisation, along with strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of commercial mortgage loan pools, including property-level financials, borrower characteristics, and loan structures.
• Prepare, complete, and tie out Excel data tapes with accountants.
• Draft, review, and tie out large loan summaries with attorneys and accountants.
• Assist in the preparation of investor presentations and offering documents.
• Respond to and address investor inquiries and support the marketing of various securitised products.
• Respond to and facilitate inquiries from rating agencies, loan servicers, and trustees.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including originators, underwriters, legal counsel, and investors.
• Collaborate with rating agencies, legal teams, and underwriters to ensure compliance with market and regulatory standards.
• Assist in various administrative functions involved in securitisation, including management of data rooms, coordination of signature pages, and tracking monthly and quarterly SEC filings.
• Monitor and analyse trends in commercial real estate markets, credit markets, and securitisation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in CMBS, commercial real estate finance, structured finance, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate, loan underwriting, and securitisation processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including SEC rules, REMIC guidelines, and risk retention, is desirable but not required.
