What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onsite Network Engineer Supervisor - Winona, MN position at RTP COMPANY?
The Network Engineer Supervisor is responsible for the management of the network team. They oversee the overall health and functionality of the primary datacenter, remote site server environments, and overall network accessibility and security. This position as two (2) direct reports - Network Administrators.

Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of IT Network support personnel, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines. Manage the IT Network support team members.
- Responsible to build, maintain, and upgrade security technology, including firewalls, network security and routers.
- This may include training and/or auditing end users.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of network security procedures and policies.
- Assure server maintenance, backup, and connectivity is appropriate and up to date.
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Design and implement appropriate security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect digital files and electronic infrastructures.
- This includes the coordination of computer security or emergency measure policies, procedures, and or tests.
- Stays abreast of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.
- Monitor and respond to computer security breaches, viruses, and intrusions, and perform forensic investigation.
- This includes conducting investigations of information security breaches to identify vulnerabilities and evaluate the damage.
- Work with IT Director for guidance on global information security.
- Establish and document best practices for the corporation’s network security.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by management, or apparent.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
