Healthcare Insurance & Patient AR Specialist I - II REMOTE | Full-time
Hiring a full-time Healthcare Insurance Patient AR Specialist with a MINIMUM of 3 years recent experience in healthcare or dental billing, insurance AR and patient account experience, 1pm to 10pm Mon to Friday to manage Hawaii accounts - after 2 weeks of ONSITE training in Dallas. Pay: $24/hr to $27/hr | Based on experience
Shift: Mon to Fri, 1:00PM - 10:00PM
Training: 2 weeks of onsite training in Dallas
Required: Local to Dallas
- At least three (3) years' experience in a healthcare or dental call center to include patient & insurance AR experience.
- Strong understanding of dental and medical insurance
- Ability to be self-managed with home office
- 2 weeks of onsite training
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Detail-oriented, organizational, and time management skills.
- MINIMUM of three (3) years' experience in healthcare or dental patient & insurance AR
- EMR proficiency for patient account management & posting of insurance claims
- Strong understanding of dental and medical insurance.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in an oral surgery setting preferred.
Remote, based in Dallas, TX
Responsibilities:
- Research inquiries regarding patient balances and outstanding insurance claims.
- Resolve delinquent accounts; prepare payment plans and monitor adherence to plans by guarantor.
- Post data; verify and perform mathematical computations; maintain files.
- Compose and type routine correspondence, memos, letters, appeals, etc.
- Work with practices within the organization in getting any necessary or requested documentation for patients, insurance carriers or other areas.
- Identify patient accounts for collection action when delinquent or when unable to contact patient or guarantor.
- Speak to patients to provide understanding and explanation of insurance processing and balances due on their account.
- Contact payors/insurance companies when needed to fulfill practice questions/requests.
- Enter contact notes related to all communications between patient, guarantor, insurance carrier, practice
- Provide the utmost level of customer service to the practice and patients.
- Call and communicate with patients via the phone.
- Maintain a minimum of 30 accounts worked per shift, either from emails, patient calls or work queue report provided.
- Return all practice and patient calls, emails and communication within 48 hours of receipt.
