The strongest account managers can protect a relationship and grow it at the same time. We are hiring an Account Manager in the St. Louis metro to own a portfolio of business customers using software and risk-focused services. You will lead renewals, uncover additional needs, coordinate internal expertise and keep account decisions moving through complex stakeholder groups.
This role is suited to someone with commercial experience in B2B sales, account management, financial services, compliance, technology or another solution-led environment. You do not need to be a cybersecurity expert on day one, but you must be willing to learn the market and become credible in customer conversations.
The commercial mandate
- Own renewal timing, account plans and revenue performance across an assigned customer portfolio.
- Build relationships beyond the day-to-day contact, including operational users, budget owners and executive sponsors.
- Run structured discovery to identify risk, new priorities and relevant expansion opportunities.
- Coordinate demonstrations, proposals and commercial reviews with product, sales, customer success and technical teams.
- Lead routine contract and pricing discussions, escalating complex terms to legal or finance when needed.
- Maintain realistic forecasts, opportunity notes and account-health indicators in the CRM.
- Act early on adoption concerns, stakeholder changes or other signals that may affect retention.
What success looks like
1. Renewals are prepared early and close without avoidable last-minute risk.
2. Clients can connect the service to measurable business outcomes.
3. Expansion opportunities are based on genuine need rather than generic upselling.
4. Forecasts and account records remain accurate enough for leadership to make decisions.
What you will bring
- At least two years of B2B account management, inside sales, customer success or solution-selling experience.
- Evidence of meeting revenue, renewal, retention or account-growth targets.
- Confident presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- A self-directed approach to territory planning, follow-up and commercial problem-solving.
- Experience with SaaS, financial services, compliance or cybersecurity is advantageous but not essential.
