As the Marketing Events Lead, reporting to the Strategic Marketing Campaign Manager, you will own the strategy, performance, and execution of Roundstone’s event marketing portfolio. This role is designed for a proven executor who is ready to elevate from event coordination to strategic event leadership, shaping how events drive brand visibility, pipeline generation, and customer engagement.
You will lead the planning and delivery of Roundstone’s signature events, including national conferences, regional advisor events, and virtual programs. In addition to executing high-impact events, you will influence event strategy, guide cross-functional stakeholders, and help establish scalable processes that elevate the effectiveness of our event marketing efforts.
While this role does not include direct people management, it requires strong leadership through influence, cross-team coordination, and operational ownership.

Core Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Program Ownership
- Own the annual strategy and execution plan for Roundstone’s event portfolio, ensuring alignment with marketing campaign priorities and commercial goals.
- Participate in the formulation of a promotional campaign strategy, contributing ideas and collaborating with Management during planning periods.
- Use historical performance data, attendee feedback, and pipeline outcomes to inform event planning and optimize the event mix year over year.
- Partner with Marketing leadership to define event goals, including attendance targets, engagement outcomes, and pipeline contribution.
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Roundstone’s flagship events, from concept through post-event performance analysis.
- Identify content topic and event format opportunities, maintain a high-potential speaker pipeline, and initiate concepts to enhance and develop in partnership with content team.
- Oversee venue sourcing, vendor management, and event logistics while maintaining alignment with budget and brand standards.
- Develop distinctive attendee experiences that reinforce Roundstone’s market positioning and create meaningful engagement with employers, advisors, and partners.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between Marketing, Sales, and external partners to ensure events support commercial priorities.
- Work closely with Campaign Marketing, Design, Content, and Digital Marketing, as well as the Sales teams to develop and execute event promotion strategies.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Analyst to evaluate event performance and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Build and refine repeatable workflows that streamline event planning, execution, and reporting.
- Maintain visibility into event budgets, timelines, and deliverables, proactively addressing risks or challenges.
- Provide structured updates on event progress, outcomes, and improvement opportunities to marketing leadership.
- Act as a subject matter leader for event marketing best practices within the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to peers coordinating internal events to ensure consistency in planning standards and execution quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Experience planning and executing large-scale, single and multi-day events such as conferences in different settings and geographic locations, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong project management capability with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to translate performance data and feedback into actionable event strategy improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
- Familiarity with marketing technology ecosystems including Salesforce, Pardot (or similar), and project management tools such as Wrike.
- Experience with virtual event platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or similar.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong bias toward execution and accountability.
- Experience in the health insurance or benefits industry is a plus.
- Roundstone Signature events consistently deliver strong attendance, engagement, and pipeline contribution.
- Event planning processes become more scalable, predictable, and efficient.
- Sales and marketing teams view events as a strategic driver of relationships and pipeline, not just a marketing activity.
