Roto-Rooter Plumbers and Save the Day Solutions are growing service companies serving Middle Tennessee. We operate a fleet of plumbing service vehicles, pumping equipment, portable sanitation units, trailers, heavy equipment, and support facilities. We are seeking a dependable, organized, hands-on team member to oversee the maintenance and appearance of our shop, vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
Position Summary
The Shop, Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for keeping our vehicles, equipment, facilities, and inventory organized, maintained, and operating efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and taking pride in keeping things running smoothly.
ResponsibilitiesFleet & Vehicle Maintenance
- Coordinate routine maintenance for service vehicles, pump trucks, trailers, and company vehicles
- Track oil changes, inspections, tires, registrations, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Monitor vehicle cleanliness and appearance standards
- Coordinate repairs with vendors and dealerships
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation
- Assist with minor vehicle repairs and troubleshooting when qualified
Equipment Maintenance
- Inspect and maintain drain machines, jetters, pumps, portable restroom equipment, generators, compressors, and other company equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
- Track equipment repairs and warranty information
- Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors
- Ensure equipment is clean, organized, and job-ready
Shop & Facility Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, yard, shop, and office exterior
- Manage facility maintenance projects and repairs
- Monitor safety hazards and facility needs
- Maintain organized storage areas and equipment staging areas
Inventory & Organization
- Monitor shop inventory and stock levels
- Organize warehouse shelving and storage areas
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and distributing materials
- Maintain tool accountability and equipment check-out procedures
- Help reduce loss, damage, and unnecessary purchases
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct regular safety inspections
- Ensure equipment and vehicles meet company safety standards
- Maintain maintenance logs and inspection records on computer systems
Qualifications
- Experience in fleet maintenance, equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, mechanical repair, or related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate forklifts, trailers, and equipment (or willingness to learn)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors
- Operate apps and computer programs
