What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT SharePoint Developer (Temp-to-Perm) position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts?
This is a full-time temporary position through the end of February 2026, with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Hybrid eligible after 90 days of employment.
Summary:
The IT SharePoint (SP) Developer will contribute to performing day-to-day support and improvement to the SP platform. The SP developer will be responsible for granting and revoking user access to the platform and creating and maintaining lists, libraries, sites, workflows, and SP applications for the current on-perm environment. They will identify and recommend improvement opportunities and be a player in the design, development, and deployment of future SP applications. They must be able to write program documentation and user training documents, as well as provide great customer solutions and service to our clients. The SP developer will contribute to the organization’s transition from on-premises to SP Online.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting in the architecture, design, reliability, accessibility, and security of the SharePoint environment.
- Assist in designing, maintaining, and improving the current SharePoint farm using established best practices.
- Provide technical support related to the development and maintenance of the SharePoint environment, including its relationship with Active Directory, SQL, and IIS.
- Perform typical system administrative activities, such as backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
- Assist in installing and configuring third-party applications (like AvePoint); coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot issues.
- Document SharePoint configuration and architecture.
- Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint solutions.
- Develop and maintain applications and workflows in SharePoint.
- Support the migration of the SharePoint environment from on-premises to SharePoint online.
- Recommend future enhancements, applications, plug-ins, security, or technical tools that will improve our SharePoint posture.
- Adhere to the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy, ensuring compliance at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a SharePoint Developer or Administrator required.
- Experience migrating from on-premises to SharePoint Online required.
- Hands-on experience with SSRS reporting required.
- Experience with power platforms (Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps) preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining application solutions in SharePoint preferred.
- SQL experience a plus.
- PowerShell experience a plus.
- SharePoint Framework experience a plus.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- SharePoint Certifications a plus
