Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled IT Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users in a timely and professional manner. This includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, and ensuring a smooth IT operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first & Second-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist with user account setup, permissions, and password resets.
- Support Windows / macOS operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Manage and troubleshoot email configurations, VPN, and remote access.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams.
- Maintain documentation of issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and routine maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures, including data security.
- Provide onboarding IT support for new employees.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in desktop or technical support roles (3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under pressure.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and standard desktop applications.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and basic networking concepts.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
