What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bellstand Manager position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts?
Summary:
The Bellstand Manager oversees the Bellstand and Concierge, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest service. They collaborate with the 3rd Party Account Manager to manage self-parking and valet services (Towne Park). They are responsible for fostering a service-oriented environment across the Bellman and Lobby Concierge Agents.
Responsibilities:
- Mastering all of the systems associated with the Front Services Department.
- Understand all of the equipment and maintenance surrounding the Front Services Department.
- Manage and negotiate group luggage services and room drops.
- Develop systems that initiate consistency in terms of spiels, service, etc., amongst the Bellperson and Lobby Concierge Agent.
- Develop incentive programs to keep associate motivation at a high level.
- Develop training manuals and procedures for all positions within the department.
- Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the lobby and front drive.
- Manage payroll and budgets associated with the department.
- Work with the CS/Catering team to manage the flow of the parking lots and coordinate off-site parking, lot rental, and bus transportation as needed.
- Interview and hire associates. Plan and assign work amongst the respective teams.
- Conduct performance reviews. Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Bellstand Manager in a hotel with 500–800 guest rooms required.
- Experience overseeing scheduling and payroll operations.
- Proven experience managing a team of at least five.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
