Job Description
The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving learning and development programs that support employee performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness across the University. This role leads the development of scalable training initiatives, including onboarding, leadership development, compliance training, and professional skills enhancement, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and workforce needs.
The Specialist plays a key role in supporting the implementation, integration, and ongoing optimization of the University’s Learning Management System (LMS) in alignment with Workday. This includes managing learning content, enhancing the user experience, and leveraging data and analytics to drive adoption and measure training effectiveness.
Working in close partnership with HR, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Training & Development Specialist conducts needs assessments, develops curriculum and instructional materials, facilitates training sessions, and evaluates program outcomes to ensure continuous improvement. This role serves as a champion for a culture of learning by promoting innovative, accessible, and impactful development opportunities across campuses.
