Job Duties
- Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics dashboards, and other BI solutions
- Design and develop Tableau dashboard solutions using Sybase/Big Data as backend technologies
- Integrate data from various sources into Tableau
- Conduct data cleansing, blending, and aggregation to prepare datasets for visualization
- Monitor and improve Tableau dashboard and data source performance to ensure fast load times and optimal user experience
- Optimize Tableau data extracts for efficient data retrieval
- Maintain, test, and schedule Tableau extract refreshes
- Develop trigger-based automation processes for Tableau extract refreshes, handling large (TB) volumes of data
- Create scripts to automate Tableau extract refreshes
- Assist with prioritization of bugs, feature enhancements, and architectural improvements
- Design Tableau APIs as required
- Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, and implementation
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, visualization accuracy, and dashboard performance
- Fine-tune SQL queries for maximum efficiency and performance
- Conduct unit testing and develop database queries to analyze defects and troubleshoot issues
- Manage Tableau Server administration on Linux, including server upgrades and installations
