There will be a degree of team training, more along the lines of supporting demos, organizational tools, and explaining engineering metrics and how our tools/processes can improve them. As far as tools go, the specific tool shouldn't be a dealbreaker, as skills in any CI/CD, SCM, or analytics tool should be transferrable in this case.
This role involves partnering with a broad range of stakeholders, including Engineers, Managers, Directors, and Product Owners. The ability to communicate technical challenges and translate engineering metrics into meaningful insights for non-technical audiences is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical, as this individual will be expected to confidently share perspectives, provide recommendations, and contribute solutions in a collaborative environment. Given that this is a relatively new area of focus for the organization, the ideal candidate will be comfortable helping shape processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain software delivery performance metrics using tools like LinearB, Sleuth, or custom dashboards.
Analyze DORA metrics, cycle time, PR throughput, and other engineering KPIs to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Implement analytics and feedback loops to continuously improve developer experience. Collaborate with engineering leadership to define success metrics and reporting cadences.
Support the engineering team in building and maintaining intuitive self-service tools for infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD setup, software development, and environment management.
Create and maintain developer documentation and onboarding guides.
Hands-on with configuring our metrics platform (LinearB), which integrates with Jira and Bitbucket; understanding those types of tools is critical.
