Required Education
- Bachelor's in software engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- 5 years of experience developing software for automation, industrial, scientific, or engineering systems.
- Strong programming skills in C#, MATLAB, Python, C , or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience integrating software with hardware systems, instrumentation, sensors, machine vision, robotics, or industrial control platforms.
- Knowledge of industrial automation architectures, control systems, and communication protocols.
- Experience with source control, software testing, and modern software engineering practices.
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work full-time on-site at St. Louis, Missouri research facilities.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software for engineering and laboratory systems.
- Develop applications using C#, MATLAB, Python, C , or related technologies.
- Integrate software with instrumentation, sensors, cameras, robotics, and motion control platforms.
- Develop software interfaces between automation systems, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Support machine vision and image-processing software applications.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technicians to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot software and system integration issues.
- Develop technical documentation, software specifications, and user guides.
- Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, cybersecurity, and code reviews.
