POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversee all aspects of digital delivery platforms and content production. This includes website, app, social media, live streaming, studio and field production, and staffing. Responsible for facility and equipment use schedules, maintenance, and upgrades. Serve as primary point of contact for university and community requests for video support. Responsible for quality control and compliance with university, funder, and agency requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage maintenance, updates, and analytics for the RSUTV website, app, live streaming, and other digital content delivery platforms.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Business Manager on sponsorship, membership, and other revenue-related content and data management.
- Work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure seamless cross-platform functionality.
- Monitor the technical function of studio and field equipment, maintain accurate inventory, and oversee maintenance and upgrades.
- Oversee the main studio, classroom studio, and field equipment schedules and booking requests.
- Lead student employee hiring and training, and coordinate student and full-time employee schedules to meet production needs.
- Respond to requests from the university, community, and sponsors for video support, and coordinate resources to complete approved projects.
- Follow all federal, state, and university broadcast and digital content requirements.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Experience in managing websites and other digital platform management.
- Proficiency in broadcast and digital media production.
- Understanding of the technical and legal requirements for broadcast and digital content delivery.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external organizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years of experience in cross-platform content production and delivery.
- Experience in hiring and managing employees; experience with contract or short-term positions is a plus.
- Proficiency in Wordpress, Adobe CC, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in an office setting on a computer.
- Ability to work in diverse environments including video production facilities and outdoor locations.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and direct the safe transport of heavier equipment including field production units and monitors.
- Ability to climb and work on a ladder and scaffolding.
- Ability to speak, see, and hear.
REPORTS TO: General Manager
HOURS: 8:00 to 5:00 Monday – Friday. Nights and weekends as needed for specific projects.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
