What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at Roessel Joy?
We are partnering with a company in Boston, MA who is looking to add a Payroll Administrator to their team. This role will be responsible for managing payroll processing in a high-volume, multi-state environment and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of payroll experience and hands-on experience with ADP WFN.
Responsibilities
- Process biweekly or weekly payroll for a high-volume employee population
- Manage multi-state payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Review payroll for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to processing
- Maintain employee payroll records and process payroll changes
- Handle payroll deductions, garnishments, taxes, and other payroll-related items
- Reconcile payroll reports and payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Partner with HR and Finance on payroll-related matters
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing
- Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits as needed
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of payroll processing experience
- ADP WFN experience required
- Multi-state payroll experience highly preferred
- High-volume payroll experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, taxes, deductions, and compliance
- Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days work from home after training
Compensation: $60K-$80K depending on years of experience
