A highly respected, mission-driven PK-12 educational organization in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join its collaborative HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is passionate about supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations within a school community.
This position will partner closely with HR leadership and school administrators to support talent acquisition, staff development, onboarding, compliance, and employee lifecycle initiatives across multiple campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding
• Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process
• Maintain personnel files, employee records, and compliance documentation
• Assist with HRIS/ATS administration, reporting, and workforce data tracking
• Support new hire orientation, employee engagement initiatives, and staff training programs
• Partner with leadership on HR projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives
• Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism across all HR functions
Qualifications:
• 2–5 years of HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience
• Experience within education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with ATS/HRIS systems and strong technical/computer skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple responsibilities in a collaborative environment
