What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Roessel Joy?
We are partnering with a company in North Kingstown, RI who is looking to add an Accounting Specialist to their team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
- Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and support the General Ledger
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3 years of accounting experience required
- Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and account reconciliations
- Real estate industry experience is a plus, but not required
Compensation: $65K-$70K depending on experience
