What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Roessel Joy LLC?
A nonprofit north of Springfield is looking to bring a Staff Accountant to join their team. In this seat, you would be mostly owning the AP/AR function, as well as assisting with GL maintenance. Nonprofit and/or grants management experience would be a huge plus. This is a hybrid role, 2 days in and 3 out.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with monthly close process
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual income statements and balance sheets
- Bank, cash and credit card reconciliations
- Fully cycle accounts payable process: data entry, processing, and reconciliations
- G/L accounts reconciliations
- Vendor reconciliations
- 1099’s
- Prepare weekly reports
- Support audits of financial and regulatory reporting
- Participate in process improvements and the development and implementation of internal controls
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience with month end close process
- Experience with accounts payable, cash receipts and bank reconciliations
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
