Summary

The Lead Electrophysiology Technologist (EPT) is a certified cardiovascular or radiologic technologist responsible for performing specialized procedures, including fluoroscopy and digital imaging, under physician guidance to diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias. They hold advanced competencies, lead technical operations, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Requirements Include

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited program
  • Certification as a Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Electrophysiology Specialist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in a cardiovascular lab and 3 years as an electrophysiology technologist
