Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Blue Springs, Missouri. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Controller and Finance/Accounting department. This is a permanent position requiring expertise in accounting principles and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. This role is fully in office.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting tasks, including account reconciliations and ad hoc projects.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with precision and efficiency.

• Assist in the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain thorough and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration and accuracy of financial data.

• Document and refine accounting procedures while implementing and testing internal controls.

• Participate in audits, ensuring compliance with established internal controls and standards.

• Support other members of the accounting team by providing assistance as needed.

• Adapt to changing assignments and schedules to meet organizational needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Willingness to work in an industrial setting and adapt to changing work conditions.
