Sr Technical Lead

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Lead to oversee the technical strategy, architecture, and execution of a customer data platform. In this pivotal role, you will design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that enable unified data management and advanced analytics. This long-term contract position is based in Southern California and requires onsite work four days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of a secure and scalable SaaS product tailored to customer data needs.

• Architect solutions that seamlessly integrate with varied data sources, APIs, and third-party platforms.

• Develop and optimize complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

• Build and maintain workflow pipelines using Digdag, incorporating cloud-based data platforms such as Treasure Data.

• Automate processes and schedule tasks using workflow definitions while ensuring efficiency and reliability.

• Implement mechanisms for data quality checks, logging, and alerting within workflows.

• Utilize cloud services like S3, Lambda, and Athena to enhance data processing and storage capabilities.

• Establish and enforce best practices in software engineering, including thorough code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Mentor and guide developers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven expertise in building and scaling SaaS products, ideally in customer data management.
• Strong knowledge of modern cloud technologies, including integration with APIs and third-party platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with workflow automation tools like Digdag.
• Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
