Project Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team in North Miami, Florida. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting project management activities related to contract lighting. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to review technical drawings and manage orders efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze electrical drawings to accurately count and document lighting fixtures required for various projects.
• Ensure all orders are entered and processed promptly to meet project timelines.
• Track existing orders to monitor backorder status and provide updates as necessary.
• Prepare detailed lighting submittals to be sent to contractors for approval.
• Verify approved lighting submittals to confirm items ordered align with client expectations.
• Maintain organized records of project documentation and correspondence.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth project execution and communication.
• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to manage data and timelines effectively.
• Assist in shipping functions and scanning project-related files to support operational needs.
• Provide excellent customer service to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Strong skills in data entry with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage timelines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in organizing files and maintaining accurate records.
• Familiarity with scanning and shipping processes.
• Excellent customer service skills to handle inquiries and build positive relationships.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
