Project Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Project Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Glendale, California, and offers the flexibility of working remotely with occasional in-office meetings. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction and project accounting, ensuring accurate financial analysis for remodeling and redesign projects.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze construction activities and categorize them for accurate comparisons against bids and pricing.
• Prepare detailed financial reports to support remodeling and redesign projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper accounting practices are applied.
• Utilize Deltek Vision software to manage project accounting tasks efficiently.
• Monitor budgets and expenses related to construction projects.
• Review and reconcile invoices and contracts for accuracy.
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making and project planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all project-related financial data.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency in Deltek and Deltek Vision software.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting processes and principles.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience working with budgets, invoices, and contracts.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance standards.
