Plant Accounting Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to drive efficiency, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to manufacturing operations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Maintain standard cost models and analyze material, labor, and overhead variances
• Prepare and analyze Cost of Goods Sold reports
• Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast
• Reconcile raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventories
• Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts
• Generate and present plant-level financial statements and variance analyses
• Partner with operations to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using a large ERP system
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and deadline management abilities
